It's always interesting and sometimes surprising how another painter's paintings are painted (what a sentence
Btw, I can understand the way you feel about painting these days...when a deadline is getting closer, painting becomes less relaxing/deploying. Painting becomes rather 'working', meaning performing in order to yield results & products by a given time component...A full-blood painter (artist) always wants to avoid such situations because it often kills his creativity...Unfortunately, there is the need of survival...
Well done!!
Hahaha, I know, I think it's very interesting to see how other artits work as well, I find it very inspiring. However I'm not painting the way my art techer used to tell me. He said I shouldn't focus on small details and finish one part at the time, instead I should work with the whole canvas simultaneously, so that at i could leave the picture at any time and it would still look good. I'm so sorry, but that's just not how I work....
Haha you totally understand me right now. The feeling of being creative and free is a little limited at the moment because of these exhibitions coming up. But I can manage, I love painting all the time (mostly!) so I shouldn't complain..

These pretzels are making me thirsty!
From my experience, the major part of an art teacher's job is to be annoying, to be destructive critical, to act adversary....the teaching is less important...The teacher primary wants to open your mind, not to develop your skills (that is something experience & time will to do).
So, I'm leaving for a non-touristic area of France within two days. I'm in urgent need of escaping my daily routine
Therefore, I really wish you al the best for your expositions: I hope that you receive the attention you deserve, that your network will grow, that it is the first event in many more, that people are willing to buy your art, that new doors will open for you and an unknown horizon will appear, that a feeling of relief will come over you once the exhibition is running, that you will be granted with satisfaction and that you will find the time for a nice relaxing holiday afterwards.
Take care, my friend
